The short version
The calculators run entirely in your browser. Your balances, income, rates and minimum payments are never transmitted to us, because there is no server to transmit them to. This is a static site.
What is stored on your device
If you use a calculator, your last set of entries is saved in your browser's local storage so the page is not blank when you come back. It stays on your device, we cannot read it, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Your figures may also appear in the page URL so you can bookmark or share a result. That URL is only shared if you choose to share it — take care, since it contains your balances and your income. If you are working on a shared or public computer, clear your browser data when you are finished.
What we never ask for
- Your name, address, date of birth or Social Security number.
- Account numbers, card numbers or lender names.
- Your email address. There is no mailing list, because there is no sign-up.
Nothing on this site performs a credit check, soft or hard, and nothing here is an application for credit.
Advertising
This site carries third-party display advertising. Ad providers may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure and personalise the advertising you see, and they act as independent controllers of that data. Their practices are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
Where required, a consent notice will be shown before non-essential cookies are set, and declining is a genuine option that does not restrict your use of the calculators. Advertising is never targeted using anything you type into a calculator, because that information never reaches us in the first place.
Analytics
Aggregate traffic measurement may be used to see which pages are read. It is not used to identify individuals and it is never combined with anything you enter into a tool.
What we never do
- Sell, rent or pass your details to lenders, card issuers, dealers, debt settlement companies or lead buyers.
- Contact you about a loan, a consolidation offer or a "rate check".
- Reconstruct your financial position from anything you typed. We cannot; it never left your device.
Children
This site is intended for adults managing their own debts and credit, and is not directed at children.
Your rights and contact
